The Big Data Europe Project
The EU SatCen is currently participating in the H2020 project BigDataEurope (Integrating Big Data, Software & Communities for Addressing Europe’s Societal Challenges), started the 1st of January 2015. BigDataEurope will provide support mechanisms for all the major aspects of a data value chain, in terms of type of data, technology assets, processes and corresponding roles. The EU SatCen will be the active player within the “Secure Societies” societal challenge providing user requirements, implementing use cases and validating the solutions proposed. The project mainly aims at evaluating possible tools that could improve the operational capacity to timely and efficiently manage extremely large and complex datasets.
