SatCen awards the Special Prize on Security during the INSPIRE Hackathon

The third edition of the INSPIRE Hackathon, organized in the frame of the INSPIRE Conference was held between 18-21 September 2018 in Antwerp, Belgium. The Hackathon focused on creating apps that could easily integrate INSPIRE, GEOSS, COPERNICUS data with data from other domains using web APIs. SatCen was one of the 10 Hackathon organizers, and participated in the jury of the competition (photo), together with JRC, European Data Portal, and OGC. The hackathon attracted 16 teams that proposed innovative solutions for a variety of domains and competed for the first three places and for the Special Prize for a security-related solution which was awarded by SatCen in the frame of the EVER-EST and NextGEOSS projects.

 

This special prize was received by Team no. 14 from InnoConnect consisting of: Jiří Bouchal (photo), Alvaro Silva, Jan Ježek, František Kolovský and Václav Kučera. The team from the city of Plzeň (Czech Republic) created an Analytical Map of Incidents Registered by the Municipal Police in Plzeň, Czechia.
