Brig. Gen. Fernando Paglialunga, Head of the Italian Joint Intelligence Centre, visits SatCen

On 24 May, Brig. Gen. Fernando Paglialunga, Head of the Italian Joint Intelligence Centre, together with Maj. Walter Calarese, Military Assistant, visited SatCen and was given an overview of the Centre’s activities.

They were welcomed by Deputy Director Giuseppe D’Amico who, together with other SatCen managers, presented the Centre’s operational and capability development activities.

Brig. Gen. Fernando Paglialunga was given a tour to see the Centre’s Divisions, and the visit concluded with a short meeting with the Centre’s Italian staff members.

Brigadier General Fernando Paglialunga assumed duty as Joint Intelligence Centre Commander in July 2016.

He commanded the 82nd Infantry Regiment and was the Task Force Centre Commander in Afghanistan from April through September of 2012.

He commanded the First battalion of the Italian airmobile regiment and was the Commander of the “Italian/Spanish Battle Group” in Herat, Afghanistan, from April through October of 2008.
