The SatCen is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy, including your personal data. All personal data collected by the SatCen are processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regards to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data.

Once you choose to provide us personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified), you can be assured that it will only be used to support your relationship with the SatCen.
 

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, all network traffic is monitored to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage or conduct criminal activity. To protect the system from unauthorised use and to ensure that the system is functioning properly, individuals using this computer system are subject to having all of their activities monitored and recorded by personnel authorised to do so by the SatCen.


How does the SatCen process your personal data?

EU Regulation 45/2001 on the processing of personal data, as implemented in the SatCen, ensure that your data are:

  • processed fairly and lawfully
  • collected for limited and explicit purposes
  • accurate and kept up-to-date
  • kept for no longer than necessary
  • secure
  • not transferred to third parties without adequate precautions
  • processed in accordance to your rights as a data subject.

The SatCen DPO is notified in advance of any operation involving such data collection, consultation, transmission or organisation. All data of a personal nature provided to the SatCen - namely data which can identify a person directly or indirectly - will be handled with the necessary care.
